RVRA are a voluntary group of 4 residents. Two, (George and Veronica ), were part of the original Village Residents Steering Group (VRSG), who in 2002 applied to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal for a determination as to the reasonableness of the 2002 Service Charge. George has lived on the estate since 1991, Veronica since 1989, Kim since 1995 and Allan since 2002. Residents were requested to pay £3,700.00 and £3,200.00 respectfully for a 3 bedroom and 2 bedroom property a total bill of £1,056,750.00. The VRSG (Village Residents Steering Group) and residents were successful in their application of 2002 and had the Service Charge drastically reduced from a total amount of £1,056,750.00 to £521,673.64, with a concluding residential figure of £383,527.33. The above amounts were for maintenance and repair and not inclusive of any new works. New works were to be carried out through 2003 - 2008. Both the Johnson Report and the LVT Determination can be viewed by making an appointment with any RVRA Team Member. The Village Residents Association (VRA), was formed in February 03, with George being popularly voted in as Chairman. Veronica was voted in as the VRA Secretary. Allan and Kim were both voted on as Block Members. All four Committee Members resigned from the VRA on 2nd December 03 and formed the RVRA. Labyrinth Properties applied to the LVT in January 04 for a determination as to the reasonableness of the 2004 Service Charge. We are extremely concerned with our environment and our quality of life within the Village. As VRSG Members 2002—2003 and VRA Committee Members 2003, we maintained an excellent and well respected relationship with Labyrinth Properties, our Freeholder, the Local Councillors, Police and Fire Services, Simon Mason of David Seymour Letting Agency and Estate Security (M.Q.D. Securities Ltd). We have a variety of information relating to the Village affecting residents, including Service Charge Costs and Budgets. We are of the opinion that all residents have the right to express their opinions and vote on how the Village is managed. Our Team will endeavour to help when and how they can. All these Team Members can be contacted through our email. or alternatively by phone on 07906 362744. |
