19th July 2007

Gosport Borough Council has received an application for Planning Permission to redevelop the area which houses the Rowner Recreational Centre.

The proposal is to demolish the existing building and replace it with 2 blocks of apartments of varying sizes and internal designs.  A 2-3 storey, this will contain 15 “affordable” apartments and the other will be predominantly 3 storey containing 25 “open-market” apartments.

Parking is to be provided in 3 groups totalling 40 unallocated spaces, 1 space per flat, in areas convenient to each bock.  Each building contains refuse storage at the recommended capacities, both for general waste and recycling, situated close to the main entrances.  Long-stay cycle stores with purpose made racks are provided within the building for security and convenience and short stay racks are located close to the entrance doors.  Both are to the levels recommended.

If you wish to make representation to the above, please contact Gosport Borough Council stating Plan No K17000/2.
