I'm sure by now you are aware of the fire at 40 Hillary Court which happened on Wednesday 8th June 05 at 3am.
The fire had completely damaged a number of rooms in the flat and the family living there had to be taken care of by the Red Cross until RVRA contacted our Local Councillor Nina Champion.
Nina has arranged for the family to go into emergency Bed and Breakfast in Southsea. She is also trying to arrange for more permanent accommodation for the family through Gosport Borough Council and private Landlords.
RVRA would like to thank the on site Security Guard, The Red Cross and of course Nina Champion for their quick and positive action.

RVRA have arranged through our Local Councillor Nina Champion, to have the yellow lines on the council adopted road in Darwin Way and Livingstone Court to be repainted.
We do not have a set date yet as to when this will take place, but as soon as we do, we will inform residents as vehicles may have to be moved.
Parking on these double yellow lines and also in the hatched area is prohibited and all illegal parking will be reported to the police for them to take action as deemed necessary. We have also been informed that the area will be gaining a new Traffic Warden in the near future.
If anyone has any questions, please contact RVRA in the usual manner.

Again there has been a number of rumours flying around with regards to the latest LVT. At present due to the Tribunal Panel taking holidays etc, they have not yet published their findings, in fact they are only two thirds of the way through.
The final decision will not be received until the beginning of July 05. As soon as the decision has been published, RVRA will inform residents on this web site and will make available a copy for residents to go through if they so wish. To view a copy, please contact any RVRA Team Member either by email or by calling 07906 362744 to make an appointment.
Rumours do nothing to enhance the relations of the residents so if anyone wishing to know anything, please just ask.

As you may have noticed the Sure Start building is now open. Unfortunately we are still waiting for the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) and the new Adventure Playground to be finished.
The reason for the hold up is that a family of badgers had a set in the area. The badgers have now been relocated and work is due to start the week beginning 20th June 2005.
The new play area and MUGA will be completed by September 05 for the community to share

Reference information with regards to the Council repainting the yellow lines etc in Darwin Way and Livingstone Court, RVRA can confirm that weather permitting this exercise will commence on Friday 17th June 05.
Residents should all be informed of this from the Estate Manager by then.

As previously reported, we are receiving a number of complaints with regards to children climbing onto the wall and garage roofs of Darwin Way.
As a result of this, we would like to inform residents that anti climb paint will be applied to the garage/bin area of Darwin Way tomorrow 23rd June 05.
RVRA would also like to inform residents that illegal parking and cars without valid car tax are being reported. The cars without valid car tax are being reported to the DVLA.

As of the 21st June 2005, Labyrinth Properties Ltd on behalf of our Landlord have given the on site Security Company a directive to move on gangs of youths or any individuals causing a disturbance, from the footpaths, stairwells, walkways, precinct, car parks and any other public areas controlled by Rowner Estates Ltd.
This should enable the on site Security Guards to disburse the undesirables causing mayhem on the estate, this can still only be achieved with the full co-operation of Hampshire Police.
If you have any questions, please contact any RVRA Team Member.
