Keeping You Informed

June 2007

25th June 2007

The RVRA have recently held detailed discussions with members of the English Partnership responsible for the proposed Rowner Renewal Programme.

Some of the fears and concerns of Lessees and Tenants on the estate were highlighted during the discussions.  The RVRA stressed the importance of ‘open’ debate and consultations with all residents to ensure their views, ideas and aspirations concerning the redevelopment were taken into account.

This has prompted the production of a Newsletter (which each resident should now be in possession of) by Mr John Butler who is the spokesperson for the Rowner Renewal Partnership.  The letter was sent to all Rowner residents and not just us in The Village.

The letter is pretty informative although not exhaustive.  It is therefore imperative that all interested residents formulate their ideas and prioritise their needs in preparation for the formal consultation with the Developers, this is hoped to be held sometime mid July 07.

We would like to remind residents that the Rowner Carnival is being held on Saturday 14th July 2007 at 12 noon.

This year the theme is Fantasia and will be held at Siskin School Campus.  Amongst the many things to do, will be a Rodeo Challenge.

For further information please call into the Rowner Access Point at 10 Lawrence Walk, Rowner or call Jacky or Debbie on 02392 580096.

RVRA wish RAP good luck and hope that the Carnival is just as successful this year as it has been over the past years.  We look forward to seeing you there.
