September 2006
22nd September 06
At our last meeting with LPL in July 06, we were advised that the Service Charge fund was in arrears by £650,000.00.
We are pleased to inform residents that we have since been advised that the Service Charge fund is not as bad as it was. The arrears now stand at just over £550,000. LPL have now managed to pay some of the creditors and organise some very minor work.
RVRA have also been advised that we no longer have an Estate Manager as Mr Foster is unfortunately no longer trading due to personal circumstances.
Other information - Recently there was a Vision for Rowner meeting on 20th September 06. In attendance was Mr Michael Lane of Gosport Borough Council.
When pressured to respond to questions in respect of the redevelopment for the Village, he advised that there were no further plans or update for the foreseeable future.
We would like to emphasise that Mr Lane was under a lot of pressure to respond as the meeting did become quite heated!!
The few attendees of the meeting were advised to pay their Service Charge otherwise no refurbishment work could be undertaken. Mr Lane advised residents to pay as they had a legal requirement to do so.
The next meeting will be on 15.11.06 at 6.15 p.m. in the new Sure Start building by the Community Centre. We have also been advised that Karen Gray of Labyrinth Properties has been invited to attend.
Our next meeting with Labyrinth is on 6th October 2006 where the revised 2007 budget will be discussed along with Tenders and any other business. Labyrinth will also discuss holding a further meeting with all residents and as soon as we know, the information will be posted on this web site.
Until then, if you have any questions, please contact any RVRA Team Member and we will endeavour to help.
